Brake lights stay on but brake pedal is fine

The brake light switch is actually pushed when your foot is off the brake and is only turned "on" when you push the brake and the pressure on the switch is released. There is a little rubber bumper stopper up near the top of the pedal. If that rubber bumper stopper falls out (an it does eventually fail and fall out) the button from the switch protrudes through the hole in the metal. Since it is is no longer pushed the brakes will stay lit.

See if you can find a replacement bumper stopper or do what I have done in other vehicles and simply use a short bolt with a nut as the replacement for the rubber button/plug.

Yes, they actually call it a bumper stopper and it's also used for the clutch safety switch on manual transmission vehicles.

These parts on Ebay should work.

Check the pedal first to make sure that the rubber part in in there. 90% of the time that I've seen this problem on any vehicle that stupid little rubber plug has been the culprit. It doesn't require any disassembly to check or to replace.

My personal favorite...

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood! :D
