I'm going to buy a 2011 Xterra. I'm looking at the S 4x4 AT right now. Seems to be the best deal. Since I had a gen 1 in the passed I'm not too familiar w/ the gen 2 x. When comparing the different trim levels it says the MT X's have a dana rear diff. I was under the impression that all gen 2's were Dana 44's. Are there two different diffs used on the gen 2 now?

C200k- 2005 to present non OR/Pro-4x models with auto. No aftermarket support to date, but one company conducting R&D for a lunchbox locker. Very strong diff, rarely hear of problems, but again, no aftermarket support.
M226- 2005- present OR/Pro-4x and MT transmissions. A Dana 44 VARIANT, not a true Dana 44 (D44 parts will not fit in the M226 unless it is M226 specific). Had some issues from 2005-sometime in 2007. Has aftermarket support in the form of gears, lockers and LSDs.
