Bad connection?
First off, your engine is knocking/ticking when the engine first starts up. Have you removed your belt and checked all your pulleys to see if any of them are having a hard time turning? I just bought a 2003. I used to own a 2000. I've had a vehicle do this exact problem that you are pointing out. But I've had a ton of cars since then and I don't remember what was done to fix this issue. Wish I could be of more help.
