Xterra front bearing hub assembly replacement

Got new MOOG front bearing hub assembly for 2008 Xterra and find the old sensor hard to disconnect, can I take off new hub's sensor and mount exiting one to new hob? if it is not a good idea, please let me how can I disconnect the old senor, I have make this done by this weekend, appreciate!
