So we just replaced the alt maybe 2 months ago, and bought a brand new battery 2 days ago. X was running ok, but battery and brake light would come on and off randomly. Then last night wife's downtown and it dies in the middle of the intersection. Had it towed home and it sits in my driveway and won't turn on at all no lights no cranking. I know the alternator is good I bought it brand new and the battery is brand new as well with a warranty it was starting fine yesterday and running fine. Now nothing. Please any help would be wonderful.
Thanks.

i would suspect your alternator is bad. I know you bought a new one but it can still happen especially since the battery light went on again. A lot of auto parts store check batteries and if the voltage is low on it i would suspect your alternator is bad since it's not charging it. have the battery checked out because a low charged battery thats brand new usually means a bad alternator.

If you haven't already, I would thoroughly check for any bad, corroded connections, wiring before I spent anymore money. Having said that... it's entirely possible you got a bad alternator or battery.

Check your battery voltage with a multi-meter. Should be at least 12.8 or so. Then start the vehicle and check the voltage coming off the alternator (at the battery) should be at least 14.4v. If you aren't getting somewhere close to or more than that (I can't remember the exact specs) or the voltage fluctuates, you probably have a bad alternator.
Folks, please feel free to correct me on this... I am going on memory.
