My driver side exhaust has this hole that looks like it would fit an O2 sensor or something but there's no sign of that having been there.

Does anyone know what this is? I'm kinda at a loss with this currently so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I believe that's where the 02 sensor goes on cars that have a EGR system. So I think it should be plugged.

Double checked mine to be sure and yep can confirm. But my car has the EGR. I say if there's no plug available, then maybe you can just find some old O2 sensor for a junkyard car and use that.

Cool. I have the old O2 sensors so if I can't find a plug I'll pop that in there.

Should my 04 have the EGR?

It depends on what state the car was originally sold in. Obviously if it was a California car then it would, unless it was deleted at one point by a previous owner. But I wouldn't worry unless your state does emissions testing.

Ahh I see. Georgia does, but it depends on the county you live in and I don't think we're California strict either way. Thanks you've been a big help!

Oregon is the same way. Most of the state doesn't do it except for the Portland and Medford area. Glad to be of help.
