My n/a 3.3l X is bordering 190k - within the past 2 weeks, when I pull to a stop and leave the car in D, I get a noticeable driveline vibration. But when I throw it in N, the vibration stops. As soon as I roll, all is fine.

Does this sound like a tranny and/or engine mount issue?

I have a similar issue. The vibrations don't seem to have any rhyme or reason and seem to happen at random. When they even do happen, they are still inconsistent. Almost sounds like something is missing.

Do you have a knock sensor code?
Sure do - have had it for years without having this vibration issue. I did the relocation trick a year or so ago...but it came back on.

I'm not experiencing this in my Xterra, but my Camry does, and only when it's warming up or after I'm hard on it. With the Camry I suspect an engine mount could be going out given other symptoms.

Think it could be the same issue? Just wanted to throw 2 cents in, and also for me to keep track of what I may be coming up to as mine is approaching 170k

Easy check for mounts.

Car in drive foot on brake. Tap the throttle while somebody watches the motor. Then do the same thing in reverse. If the motor looks like it's going to come out of the engine bay look closer and you will see which one. You can do the same for the trans mounts too.

I have had a number of the newer cars with cradles have this issue after an accident. The motor could be on a bind as well. Loosen all mounts and shake the motor and trans a bit. Bolt it back up tight and then you could check that off the possible list.

Good luck

new knock sensor (relocated) - no results
installed a new tranny mount - no results
cleaned MAF - no results
seafoamed - no results
changed harmonic balancer - fixed!
