Looks good to me. It is an automatic. Only does it in forward not reverse
Does looking good to you mean it's a nice light pink/red color with no burnt smell to it? Are you aware of when the fluid was changed last or if ever since 2000? Automatic transmission fluid chemistry burns off over time and is essential to proper transmission performance. That's not an opinion but design engineering fact.

Make sure that you check the fluid when the transmission is warm, it's on a level surface (I like the concrete pad at a local gas station if you don't have a garage), Engine is running and of course the vehicle is in park or neutral (dont' want to run yourself over). Checking the transmission fluid when the vehicle is not running will give you incorrect readings.

Yeah, it's not always about the number of miles on the transmission, but the number of miles on the fluid.

Even the "lifetime" fluids on the newer cars aren't good for life. Lifetime means that it will last until the warranty period is up and when the fluid goes bad at 100k miles it will bring about the end of the transmission's lifetime.
