I changed the fluid and installed a clean filter. The trans slips badly on start up BUT -- not always.
Mostly if placed into 1 or 2nd gear this automatic trans will go IF I go slowly. After it shifts into 3rd gear it usually works fine with zip slippage.
Even if I slam the gas peddle - it goes great. The fluid level is good as well.
What gives --

Thanks

Did you do a complete transmission fluid flush to get the old fluid out of the torque convertor or was it just a drain and fill?

Year, engine, miles on vehicle, miles since last trans fluid change?
It has 270K miles no idea about if actual and if this is the original. Doesn't smoke - runs fine - plenty of get up and go and doesn't use oil or water.
Drained the trans fluid and cleaned the filter and put it back together.
We do use Lucus and it may help or not but we use it.
