I found successfully installed the connector... now I cant get it out. I had installed the squarish/roundish plug by the PS rear to a four pin flat for a boat trailer. worked fine, but for the life of me I cant get the plug out. I have tried prying in the crack, pushing on the top (where I think there is a "button"), in short I have tried everthing I can think of and don't know what to do.

any thoughts/tips? I thought about hitting it with liquid wrench or something similar.

got a new toy and really want to get that plug out.

Take a small thin flat head and use it where the button is. Press the tip into the receiving side above the button and it will come right out.

Thanks, I will give it a try, between the spare, the hitch and the vehicle itself there is really not much room to operate there, but I will see if I can sneak a small screwdriver up there.

yeah looks like you pulled the wires. I would recommend some electric grease for the next time you plug it in. They did come with a cap but was probably tossed when it was put in.

Drop the spare, it gives u lots more room
