It needs rear brakes to pass inspection and get the windshield replaced(free) but the frame under the WS is rusted that caused the crack, ($515) to repair.

Once that is fixed I think I will get the timing belt/tensioner/water pump/thermostat/drive belts all done at the same time. Is there a kit that is recommended? I have the drive belts already, I'll pick up a thermostat, what about the rest of that kit, gaskets?

I usually just get the Nissan Kit from Courtesynissan.com.

Its got the gaskets, water pump, thermostat, all the belts, etc.

If you already have the other belts, etc, I would just get the rest a la carte.

:D

Others have liked Rock Auto too, etc.

Another thing to add would be all the wee hoses, such as bypass, etc, that are a PITA to get at...and are best done while its all opened up anyway, etc.

And, consider the oft neglected maintenance items such as greasing the front drive shaft (There's a grease port for the telescoping part), repacking the front wheel bearings, unfreezing/lubing the rear drum/p-brake, and perhaps the diff, tranny and t-case juices, etc.
