Right now my X is stock 2003 gen 1.
Over the years with carrying loads and camping.... these days with load the rear sags a good bit and affects driving/ steering.
I'd like to add a leaf for more support ( not necesssarily height)

But I'd like to now offroad and will be adding a 2" BL.

Will adding a leaf impact offroading ? shoudl i go with shackles?( wont add support right?) Again i want to add a leaf to support when i travel with a load..

Thank you

2nd question: i have bilstein 4600 I believe.... Do I need to have the 5100s if I do the 2" BL?

You may want to see how far you can go up front and still get a decent alignment before determining how far to raise up the back. When I did the PML I discovered that I was mashing the bumpstops before I was able to even raise it an inch. Since the shackles raised the rear 1.5", now my ride has a larger than normal rake. I'll need the aftermarket control arms just to get the additional inch I want. Had a known that I might have gotten the adjustable shackles, as I don't know when I'll have nearly $400 burning a hole in my pocket just to get another inch out of the front.

I used an add a leaf on my old pickup that had sagging springs. It seemed to restore the original ride height by making the sagging springs conform to the new one. Logically, I would expect that it would start sagging again much sooner than it took the original pack, but I only had the truck another 2 years and it seemed fine.

Body lift doesn't affect the shock, as they mount to the frame .
