In fact that has little to do with the silencer and much more to do with using subsonic ammo

Without a subsonic round, no silencer no matter how big is going to make a quiet shot..

The bullet making that gigantic crack as it rips through the sound barrier is way louder than the shots initial fire..

And you're pretty limited on what kinds of guns can actually fire the few types of subsonic rounds that exist.

So choose your gun and silencer carefully, as a silencer on the wrong kind of gun is useless
