Hey All.. When having my new tires installed.. The MORON mounting the tires BROKE 3 OF THE PLASTIC CENTER HUBS..I have a set of new ones & attempted to hsve them put on during a recemt oil change/lube service.. That guy almost broke the new ones.. I have tried to put them on.. But just cannot figure out how to put them on with the small wire retainer rings they come with.. (Without risking breaking the plastic teeth on the hubs).. Ig anyone knows 'the trick' to popping these puppies on.. I'd really appreciate you sharing it with me..
Thanks..

have you ever put on aftermarket cheapy steel wheel hub caps? its the same principal, you gotta line up the wire just right and firmly push evenly around the edges, i never had issues putting them on my 2000 x or my 98 pathfinder, they just popped right on.

Invest in a (used-junkyard?) 16" wheels... 15" tires are getting more & more difficult to find... Life will be a bit easier (I think) if you can use the 16" wheels... Just (2-cents worth) food for thought..

Maan.. I took ANOTHER run at the (stupid-simple) task of 'trying' to pop'on the replacement (plastic) center hubs, but I got to that point of "man, these 'plastic' teeth are gonna' break-off!.. I simply cannot keep the hub straight (while pushing in) to seat the clips into 'the ridge' on the wheel.. (There's GOTTA' BE SOME? TRICK???).. In addtn.to ALL the auto-work I've done & 'competely' restoring (6)vehicles, replacing EVERY nut/bolt/bearing/part.. BUT I CAN'T PUSH A PLASTIC HUBCAP IN PLACE!?!..
