Hey guys im new to this forum. Im looking at possibly purchasing a 2003 Xterra. Its the no frills version: 2.4l, manual transmission, crank windows, rwd. The vehicle seems to be in okay condition, the body is pretty decent the interior needs a new headliner and the seats have stains. It has about 134k miles on it and has a clear title. Seller is looking to get $2500 for it. Do you guys think this could be a reliable daily driver for the next few years? I can do a lot of my own maintenance work and am willing to take care of stuff like tune-up, filters, fluids, water pump, valve cover gasket, etc. I'm trying to get out of having a car payment anymore but have a 2 year old and another baby coming in april so it needs to be a family vehicle. I think for the price it could be pretty solid vehicle and easy to maintain. What do you all think? I attached some pictures too.

I think that xterra was badly maintained. Look at the engine picture, it is missing an entire air intake tube. stained seats can also be an indication of a badly maintained Xterra although my carpets have stains as well. I would skip that car and try to find another. 2500 dollars is also a lot for a bare bones Xterra. Just get the 3.3L motor loaded with cruise control and electric windows that would make it a much better family vehicle.
