When we met a Rausch last weekend I was eyeing everyone's rigs and plotting my next mods. I noticed that a bunch of X's had the 2" body lift and the aftermarket front bumper (ARB or Shrockworks) which looked great BUT a few of them still had the stock rear bumper and it looked shite (no offense) with the bumper still at the original position. Other than getting the rear tire holder is there a product or method for modifying the rear bumper to make it look any better with the 2" BL?

Thanks!

It's not hard to do with a good quality drill bit and drill but all you need to do is drill new mounting holes 2" below the stock holes in your rear bumper and it will match back up with the body. Probably the most difficult part of doing a 2" BL but still not too difficult.

i just shimmed my bumper to the correct space then marked the points then drilled out.. I had some crappy bits and it took like 2 hours to drill out the holes haha... If I remember correctly I needed to use a 1/2 bit..

i thought you had a custom made rear bumper?
Nope...rear bumper made by Skid Row. tire carrier was custom made by Richard in High Point, NC from NOAS

I have a 2" body lift and a KMA rear tire carrier and chose not to relocate my bumper the 2" higher.
With a 35" spare mounted centered on the hatch it is damn near impossible to see anything out back. With it mounted 2" lower, my visibility is actually much better. lol
You really can't see the gap on my rear bumper with the tire in place anyway..
It's all opinion.

The 2" ghetto gap up front bothered me a lot though.
So I had a local fabricator extend and reinforce the hell out of my ARB frame brackets.

If you have a stock rear bumper, I read that you can just flip the brackets over and switch sides and it will relocate the bumper 2" higher without any drilling.
