Hi All,
I been having some minor overheating issues. It doesn't happen all the time or in the same trip. If i am sometimes sitting in minor stop and go the temp gauge would make it's way up and then go back to normal when i start moving again. And if i have to stop again it will be fine so it's not doing it everytime I stop. Beginning of the year i had the fan clutch and thermostat changed so not sure if they will become bad already. No air in system and not losing any coolant. Any one have any suggestions what may cause it to rise only once in awhile?

Sounds like fan clutch, but you say it's new, could still be defective though.

And if the coolant level is fine and the systrm properly bled, are all fan blades intact?

Might want to check the fan's operation when the engine is at full operating temperature.

thanks for the responses. It's weird. I know the fan comes on as it is suppose to and if the system wasn't bleed correctly it would happen more often I believe. Thermostat is fairly new. It's strange as if I am in slow stop and go traffic for a light it would creep up and then went i start going and then say in two blocks back in stop and go it will be fine so it's not doing it all the time.
