Whenever I'm idling the temp gauge in the rear view mirror shoots up to 140ish. Based on that I'm guessing the sensor is located somewhere near the engine compartment. Does anyone know exactly where it is and what it looks like? I'd like to relocate it somewhere else.

It's usually mounted behind the grill and in front of the radiator.
