Hello,

Hello, first post here.

My wife has a stock 2001 XE 2WD. The tires are 265/70-15 and need replacing. We are looking for a good overall quality tire. No intentions of going off roading, just good wear, nice ride and hopefully a long life. We live in Northern California and have both dry summers and rainy winters.

I tried researching on Tire-Rack.com, but the reviews are mixed, and mostly from full size trucks like F-150s. Nothing there from an X-Terra owner.

If you could recommend a brand and make based on your personal experience that would be great. A good source to order from would also be appreciated.

Thank you,

Mark

I'm getting ready to replace the Kelly tires on my new to me 2010 X with Cooper Discoverer H/Ts. I had these tires on my old Pathfinder and really liked them. Quiet, good traction and wear, can't beat the price compared with others.

Hankook Dynapros are good all around tires. I've run them on my Wife's Commander for several years. Not too aggressive, they seem to wear pretty even, quiet, and pretty reasonable.
As far as where to buy, Discount Tire (It's called "America's Tire" in California) . Those guys are the best. Pay for the warranty, it's well worth it.
