Hello everybody,
I've been lurking here for a few months while I researched vehicles .Now that I'm the proud owner of a 2003 Xterra thought I would join. I will have plenty of questions as I'm planning to put some work into it. Got it for 1500 with barely any rust, frame is still mostly black paint which is surprising for a 14 year vehicle in northern Ontario Canada. Family and hobby farm use up most of my cash so I'm looking to restore this baby on a budget.
I have done frame off restores on a Jeep CJ and a 72 4x4 K10 chevy, rebuilt a Samurai and a Tracker, as well as given new life to more old trucks than I can shake a stick at.
Got a nice shop and tools so I was thinking about doing a sort of build thread showing taking an average beater and getting as close to stock new as possible using more ingenuity than cash, don't know if there is any interest in a "build thread" without all the money upgrades.
Looking for a daily driver that will get me hunting, fishing and to remote camping with the family. THINK I FOUND IT WITH THIS LITTLE GEM.
