Just wanted to introduce myself. I had recently acquired an 04XE a few weeks ago with 91k on the clock now. Hopefully i will gain some new insight about the car with the help of this forum.

4 or 6 cylinder? and supercharged or n/a if v6? this is useful so we can help you with pointers on what to look out for on each engine type

sorry about that. It's a v6 n/a.

good to know, keep an eye on the distributor for failure. if you get ANY knock sensor codes its a forget about it issue as there is no actual fix (for most) and the codes are just sitting pending on the ecu and never turn on the light nor cause failed inspection.

Thanks you. I already got that knock sensor code along with a p1491 code and just so happened this morning somehow my upper radiator hose decided it wanted to bust on me.
