I'm Joe from Louisville. I recently purchased my first X (2004 XE 4X4 Auto) its completely stock with 75k miles. I have a set of 265/75R16 Grabber AT2s ordered from Discount tire and they're getting installed on Friday. From what I've read I need to crank the front Torsion Bars some to get the front end leveled. Next, I'm thinking I'll add some new Bilsteins to replace the original stock shocks (remove rear sway bar?) After that maybe remove the factory Nerf Bars and either go bare or install some Sliders. I also ordered a Curt hitch and will be installing that soon. I turned the back of the X into virtually a truck bed by putting the 2nd row seats down and adding a bed liner. the dogs go everywhere with me so this works out great.
Anyway, I'm new to the Offroad scene and this is my DD so I don't plan on getting too crazy with it. I just want a good off road vehicle that I can take hunting and have fun in on light trails. I look forward to learning from you all and am excited to get started.
