Hi,
I recently traded my 2008 Jeep Unlimited for a 2008 Xterra 4x4. Gives us better tow capacity for future RV and meantime I'm enjoying a more civilized highway ride. Mods so far include a 2" "ReadyLift", 285/75R16 General Grabber 2's, and diy rear bumper w/ receiver, front receiver, portable 8000 winch. Both receivers are high enough to be practical for off-road winching and the all my mods have only added about 15 lbs of weight. I like the fairly stock look, as well. Check out my projects with full pics and descriptions at http://picasaweb.google.com/roybeth/XterraFrontRearBumpersWReceivers#. I hope to add some under-armor and modify my steps for more functional side protection soon. Enjoying the site; lots of great information and ideas!

Welcome to the club.
How do you plan on wiring the winch for front & back mounting?
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned over the front hitch mount especially since you plan on using it for winching. Moving a boat or trailer around the yard or launching would be fine but winching looks like it could become a missile.
What gauge metal did you use, hard to tell in the pics?
