My 2001 v6 XTerra's Harmonic Balancer is soon to be toast. If possible I want to replace it myself, I've been quoted around $500 for a shop repair.
Is it a complicated repair?
Are there any videos you've seen for it?
Are there special tools needed?
Is it more worth it to just take it to a shop?
My skill level: Rookie but not incapable, have done minor/moderate repairs (Distributor, thermostat, O2 sensors)
