Like many others I'm sure, my line pressure solenoid finally went out a few weeks back, leading to me dropping the pan and valve body to replace the upper solenoid pack. Even though I knew them to be fragile due to age, in the process I still broke the tabs off two of the (I believe) two-pin, brown and black/gray wiring connectors for the solenoids. One had to be removed before dropping the valve body, the other was on top of the valve body.
Does anyone have either an OEM part number, or know of a suitable aftermarket replacement pigtail / connector that will lock tight with the solenoid male electrical connectors?
I'm having a hell of a time finding anything online - my multiple searches on here and club frontier haven't turned up anything either.
For the time being, I went ahead and put my original solenoids back in using a bit of Permatex "liquid electrical tape", and some small zip ties to hold them in place. As these connectors are submerged in the transmission fluid, I'd prefer to be able to get a liquid-tight seal on the connections when I install the new solenoids and modify the valve body with the Superior shift kit. I do worry about the zip ties becoming brittle over time as well. I thought about using super glue as well, but that's not something I want to risk dislodging and making its way into the tight clearances of a transmission.
I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks!
