My key will go both ways on the drivers and that's it. It will go in the passengers but won't budge. Same thing in the hatch.

And then you have to basically rip my passengers back door off the X to get it to open...

Its a door key only, like a spare entrance key. Google how to make it work, I have one similar and the dealership said it would never ever start my X, aptly named ET, who never backs from a challenge. There is a trick to get it to do everything.

You also haven't shared what year your X is. That can make a difference in what the key is designed to do.
