Looks like you need a new oil pan and valve cover gaskets .
It's got a few small oil leaks...I add about a quart per month...A mechanic looked at it and said the leaks would run about $600 to repair....then he said "oil is cheap"....With 245K on the odometer. and a nice little dent in the passenger side door I'm just going to let some things slide as long as it continues to run. I've always wondered how long you can drive one until a major repair pops up making it illogical to keep.....we'll see

LOL

I DO like that you wanted to know BEFORE draining the oil.

Remember to also OPEN IT before opening the drain.

I know people who opened the drain, let out the out stuff, and then found they could not OPEN the fill plug, 'cause it was gunned in there so hard it would not budge...

...and they had an empty diff and couldn't refill it.

I had to weld a steel bar to one just to get enough leverage to crank it out.

That's not me, that's the guy who's plug was stuck in my driveway and needed my welder >:D
