hey guys/gals!

i've just became a happy owner of a 2003 manual xterra sc!

loves the ruggedness and the durability of this rig

first thing is to make sure she's running well (167k km), maintained at dealership from birth to
160k km.

nothing is replaced other than the timing belt.

any recommendations as to what to inspect first?

Basic stuff. If you have the records from the dealership, see what wasn't done. If it's 4wd, I would be checking the 4wd system. If it was offroaded, look at things like bearings, suspension play, etc. Otherwise, top end stuff. Plugs, wires, distributor, hoses, etc. Depending on what you find from the records, you may want to flush differentials, transmission, coolant, etc. I would also be looking for when or if the clutch was replaced. Have fun!
