Ladies and gentlemen,

My first post on this forum as of yet. As stated I just bought a Nissan Xterra 2005, SE 4x4. The dealer was rather sketchy, but hey i'll take what i can get. In short, I feel as if a lot is old on the truck. I was thinking about doing repairs and a simple mod, all at the same time. I was thinking about getting a leaf spring pack (not sure which) and the bilstein 5100 front shocks (the adjustable ones) to add about 2.5 worth of lift. Thoughts on this course of action? would it work? am I missing anything? Thanks!

I'd drive it for awhile before changing anything, then start by changing fluids, basic tune up, maybe after a while a timing belt if I don't know when it was changed last. I don't like to spend too much money until I get to know the vehicle and I've had some surprises from used cars.

05 doesn't have a timing belt. its a chain (no service interval) . but I agree with the rest.
