I picked up the lower right Aux power socket the other day out of the J-yard. As my X only had one cigerrette lighter socket... Now I'll have two. I'm ready to install this with its pig tail to power...

My question is should I splice this in to the cigerette lighterz power or route it to another supply...

This will be connected to a 4 port (amp type remocon socket that I picked up off of ebay.) I want to plug this unit below into this 2nd aux jack from the J-yard...

i would just wire that unit into the stock cig lighter or put in a new fuse and run it straight from the fuse panel....

also whaty dose the switches on that unit do????? are thy like on-off switches or what....
Run it to the fuse panel using a product called an "add a circuit" It will cost you $10 but is the safest way to go. I have spliced into the cig lighter and it has caused problem. Using a splice seems to always cause problems

Ya I got 2 of those add a circuits in my shop... Damn I forgot about those!

Jason the switches are attached to a heavy remote jumper cable. Then you can switch off your GPS, CELL PHONE PWER, or PWER for you computer... what ever you want to power up or down...

I got them shipped from China... took about 2 weeks but hope it was worth the wait...

Thanks X-guys!
