Any recommendations on replacing 3.3 with anything else?
I'd like to know where you are sourcing the engine (vk56) and how the swap goes. I have around 265k miles with 3.3L supercharger. SC requires replacement every 75 - 85k miles and is costly! I'm original owner and want to keep the vehicle, but there are so many issues popping up now.... so good luck and please let me know how it goes!Ok. Appreciate it.

I’m not certain about the VK having an issue but an LS, 4BT, and almost any other engine you are going to try for a swap just plan on doing SAS at the same time. The front diff is so tight that the all the more common swap choices necessitate removing the IFS front driveline and changing to a live front axle to gain clearance for the oil pans of the donor engines. Take a good look at that ridiculously over complicated oil pan on the VG Nissan didn’t do it for kicks they had no choice in order to make the engine fit.LS swap of course...
hm, on a 4wd i would assume right? the 2wd vg xterras have tons of room underneath, that was actually one of many reasons i got my 2nd gen i needed a powerful, decent sized vehicle and need it easy to work on in what litttle free time i have in the drivewayI’m not certain about the VK having an issue but an LS, 4BT, and almost any other engine you are going to try for a swap just plan on doing SAS at the same time.
