Well gents,

Recently picked up an X in an impound auction for $500. Problem: Impound lot lost they keys & it will need an out of province inspection. The X is a 2004, would this have a chiped key & imobilizzer? or could I get a locsmith to make me a new key and not have to deal with chips?

I drive an '04 and it isn't chipped or anything else. Mine is an XE though. Pretty sure that doesn't make a difference though.
