My 06 Xterra went into fail safe mode and popped the code p1757. Which is normally a TCM issue. But I noticed a sensor was broken and not connected. It is far from being reconnected but i don't what sensor or part it is. Can you I.D this part please. Thank you

Where is it located? As close as I can tell it is sensor part of the Transmission, towards the Drive shaft.

P1757 has something to do with the governor, but it possible that it is faulty because of the broken sensor.
Can you zoom out a bit so we can see the location better ?

The sensor is connected to and leads back to this black housing locoated at the back of the transmission.

I would check the issues with the governor....

But as for that "sensor", I am wondering if that is a speed sensor or revolution sensor.
My son has a 2000... so I can't be to sure about 2006
