I'm guessing that this question has been asked before, so I apologize for that.
When accelerating and hitting around 2000/2500rpms, (40mph) I get a loss of power and have to let off of the gas, engine will stutter if I don't let off the gas, and am unable to get any faster then 40 mph, after this happens about 3 or 4 times everything goes back to normal and runs great.

I just bought this vehicle a week ago, 115,000 miles on it. I have taken it back to the used car dealership twice now to get it fixed. Both times they have said it was good to go, and working great.
First time they replace the speed sensor, and the second time they replaced the crank shaft sensor?

I'm guessing it has something to do with fuel.

Please help! This is my only vehicle and I'm worried buying it was a mistake. I've always heard great things about xterra's.

Anything will help. Links to prior post, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I hope you didn't have to pay for all those parts that didn't fix the problem. I'd take it back again and be adamant that they get it fixed then keep it a few days to test and be sure. And get your money back for anything that was done but didn't need to be. If you didn't have a check engine light before, chances are your sensors were fine.
