Having trouble finding seat belts, what options for interchangeability do I have?

Been trying to do research because my driver side seatbelt is literally coming apart at the seams. Besides obvious Xterra and frontier parts interchangeability would it be possible to get a Pathfinder or other Nissan seat belt installed even as a temporary measure? If not I did see some "universal" seat belts being advertised on eBay. Has anybody ever tried those or been in my position here?

Feeling that I'm almost tempted to see if a 2005 to 2015 model seat belt will fit.

Finally my last question would be if it's possible to remove the seat belt belt from the retractor because if so I could at least swap it from my passenger side and make any immediate passengers sit in the back seat which would prevent me from having to deal with the problem immediately.

Well the majority of the driver side seat belt unraveled today so I'm going to have to stop driving the truck until I get an answer or managed to find a replacement in good shape.

Does anyone know if Pathfinder seat belt assemblies will fit here? My friend has a busted up Pathfinder that he's parting out in Maryland and I could drive up there and get me driver side seat belt but I don't really want to burn the fuel to go up there just to find out the part doesn't fit.

Failng that does anybody have any suggestions? None of the junk yards nearby have any seatbelt assemblies for sale for generation 1. I would have to drive halfway across the state and considering I'm actually closer to Maryland that's probably the best option if a Pathfinder seat belt will fit.

Thanks guys I hope that somebody can advise me here because it's unfortunate that I'm going to have to borrow my friend's car until I get this fixed but I'm not dealing with a potential death trap of a seatbelt.
What color, or does it matter?

There are a couple of JYs in the Louisville, KY area that have had Xterras and Frontiers. I'd bet that those would fit, and you could harvest a few spares if you felt you needed to.
I'm not picky. If you're offering to grab me a few, PM me and tell me the cost, I'll throw you enough extra to mail them and buy you a case of your preferred beverage.
I have replaced the seat belts and for anybody else coming across this thread yes you can switch them from side to side. Be particularly careful with the top plastic trim.
