So the X was struggling to stay started and I instantly went to the fuel pump given the symptoms. Turns out one of the two wire connectors that sits on top on the fuel pump and under the cover plate has totally corroded. Went to the dealership about it and they can't do anything and they don't think that that part is being made any more to order it.. So I was just wondering if there is an aftermarket part that would work or if I am just going to have to find a totaled X to take it off of and just do some wire work? I attached an image of the corroded wire and connector. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

I would go to the JY and get one, you can find those specific connectors online, but it would be cheaper to get it from a pull-n-save or something like that

Do you have a close up picture of it? Take one and post it please. I'll tell you instantly if it something I could repair or not, and if it is what I consider repairable, I could step you through it.
eBay probably has used units if you want to go that route.

So I had my fuel pump connector corrode on the fuel sending unit itself and break off one of the pins on the sending unit itself...so I have to replace the whole dang thing...dangit!

What year and what engine is your Xterra ? I have the same problem on my 2001 2.4 liter . I am not getting any fuel to the engine. Is the connector you ordered the one that fit into the fuel sending unit ?

I fiddled with the connector for a few days. I ended up cutting the wires. Splicing some pig tails on the wires. I drilled small holes in the cover. Pulled them through. Fuel safe epoxy to seal it up. Cut the connector and did the same on top. Now my pump is hard wired. No problems. No way of it quitting and leaving me stranded. Working prefect so far.

I had this happen. Had to replace the sending unit. Took a while to figure out.
