Looks like my rubber fuel line, I believe the inlet, at the manifold, looks like it's been leaking a creamy colored sludge like you would find in an old lawnmower. Above it is a plug with a warning not to remove while hot. A guy I work with is telling me there is a little "valve core like stem" that may need replacing and that there may be a "Campaign" on it.
Can anybody make out what I'm trying to say?
I don't even know what to call it.

Thanks, Ray

Are you saying that the test port on the fuel line/rail is leaking? I think it is a schrader valve. I don't have direct experience with the ones on these trucks but typically those type of valves are pretty easy to replace.

No, it's not the test port that's leaking, it's the smaller of the two rubber lines that comes up from under the plenum(manifold?) on the driver's side. There's a ring of crust around the line where it clamps to the plenium and down below it looks like a pile of bird crap on the block. I don't know, when I look up Schrader valve it's showing me the tire section. (Rock Auto website) Let me ask you this, would this part being faulty cause the syptoms?

Yeah there are schrader valves in the tires too. And on your bike tires. And in your AC system.

A leak at a hose connection nearby would have nothing to do with the test port. The test port is easy to test. Push in the schrader valve tip - fuel should come out. It should only release fuel when you do this.

Did you try tightening the clamp on the hose? It may just be a little loose. Or you may need a new line. You might be able to cut 1/2" or so off of the line and re-use it. Maybe it needs a new clamp? This isn't rocket science, just basic plumbing. Think of it like a garden hose. That should clear up the leak.

As for foaming and bird poop? Man I am at a loss there. I've never seen fuel do that. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Are you running cat-piss through it or gasoline?
