Hi Everyone,
I'm just replacing my fuel filter with an OEM filter (2002 Xterra XE 4wd). I noticed the old filter had compressed rubber pads to make it fit snugly into the bracket that attaches to the shield. My OEM filter does not include pads, and doesn't seem to fit tight enough without them. They are also to weak/old to transfer. Is there any specific type of padding that I am supposed to use (foam/rubber/heat resistant?).
Thanks in advance! :)

It real does not matter what you use any thing that will keep it from moving or the vibration will mike a leak down the road.

Thanks for the quick replies :) Padding is in, and everything is snug and quiet! Went off without too many hitches. Maybe next time the depressurizing of the system will actually work :p That was a nasty surprise.
