Hi I'm new to Nissan. I have been a domestic new car dealer tech for over 30 years so I'm somewhat mechanically inclined but would never claim to know any more than the next guy . that being said I have a 2000 X-tera with a 3.0 L that is NG. I have found a 1989 3.0L throttle body injected can the intake be swapped is the long block compatible? also I have found a 4 cylinder nissan diesel could the bell housing be the same? and the clutch ? Thank You Dan

The Xterra has a 3.3L while the 1989 Nissan Hardbody and Pathfinder have the 3.0L. Wiring will be you issue. Better off finding 2000-2004 Xterra/Frontier. The 1996-2000 Pathfinder also have them but a few things are setup different and would have to be reconfigured for the Xterra.
