hello all, and thanks for adding me to the community. i have spent some time recently reading some of the posts. there's a lot of info out there, and my head started to spin after reading so much. so, i will post this here to see if anyone can help. thanks in advance. i have a 2003 se (i think) 2wd. 2 weeks ago, the check engine light came on. got it checked and the following 2 codes showed up in this order: PO420 catalyst efficiency below normal (bank 1) and PO328 knock sensor circuit high input (bank 1). the catalytic converter is less than a year old and i am having no performance issues and mpg hasn't changed. is there anything i can do, or some additive to put in the tank to help clear this up? any and all help is appreciated. thanks.

well you can do the knock sensor bypass. It's easy, just solder in the appropriate resistor. cleared my code. according to all the info on this site the knock sensor is basically irrelevant to the naturally aspirated X. (our generation of x anyways)

as for a reset.... unplug your battery over night... or at least 3 hours and you will have cleared the codes momentarily. If something is legitimately wrong, the check engine light will come back on.
