Hi, I am looking to buy an “ Idle Air Control valve“ or “Element Kit Thermostat.” Different names; Same part. For an Xterra 2004 automatic without supercharger. (See picture) It is located below the throttle body.
Thank you Satito. I was wandering about the “shipping cage.” What I am after is a used part.
The new ones are too expensive. I just replaced the O-ring on the part 16391U. I also ordered a new gasket throttle chamber. When it arrives, I’ll put everything back together and give it a try. It may do the trick.
I'm actually glad I looked into it. I had never seen those sites before, but may give them a try in the future. The prices are great and the shipping time and cost are really good. Unfortunately they don't seem to have parts specifically for the gen1 Xterra, but they do have parts for the 3.3L engine, so if you can find parts based on that.
The Terrano uses the same engine. Do keep in mind that while most parts will work, Japanese vehicles are right hand driver vehicles and as such many components/accessories are on the opposite side of the vehicle. I'm not sure if a Japanese AC compressor or alternator would work on our vehicles since the mounts may not fit.
