I stayed at Twin Grove a while back and was told that every hotel, motel and campground (including RV sites) are booked to almost full capacity through September 2018 due to the natural gas pipelines currently under construction throughout Pennsylvania.


If you are even thinking about attending and would need a hotel, motel and campground cabin or RV site you should book your accommodations now. You could always cancel if you can’t make it. Primitive camping at Twin Grove and at Rausch shouldn’t be a problem.

I apologize however it seems necessary for even more clarification of the "Xterra Only" aspect of The East Coast Xterra Challenge (ECXC).

First, let me once again state for the record; I am just helping out with this event. I am not in charge of ECXC or The North East Xterra Club (NEXTerra). I do not make the ECXC rules or any rules. I am one voice among an appointed few that have the ear of those who have been elected (more than once) to run NEXTerra. Mike G. and the Mid-Atlantic Xterra Club (MAXC), the originators of ECXC have asked NEXTerra to run ECXC. NEXTerra has not changed any rule that was in place when they took control of the event from Mike G. and MAXC.The policy as stated in the OP of the announcement thread on the NEXTerra board is;

Please note that The East Coast Xterra Challenge (ECXC) is an Xterra only event.
Exemptions to the Xterra Only Rule are;
Supporting Members of The North East Xterra Club (NEXTerra) used as "ECXC 2018 Staff".
and
ECXC 2018 Sponsors; invited to attend as a guest of The North East Xterra Club (NEXTerra); no fee, one vehicle plus one associate with vehicle; must register and pay event fee.
All other attendees must abide by the Xterra Only requirement, register and pay the event fee.

We are less than 2 months away from this year's ECXC!!! There is still plenty of time to sign up HERE!
If you have already signed up, but don't see your name in the "Fully Registered Drivers" HERE it means the organizers have not received your event payment. You can send that via PayPal to [email protected].
The cutoff date to register for is June 30, 2018. If you pay after the June 30th sign up deadline you will not be guaranteed an event shirt.
All NEXTerra events including 2018 The East Coast Xterra Challenge (ECXC18) require that all registered drivers and their passengers sign a club waiver.
This year, the organizers will be accepting electronically signed waivers.
Please download the NEXTerra Club waiver HERE and open it using Adobe Acrobat.
There will be a field at the bottom that will allow you to sign with a digital ID.
Once you have signed the waiver; save a copy and email it to [email protected] making sure to include your screen name in the email.
Each registered driver and all passengers will need to fill out one of these waivers prior to running any trails within an ECXC18 organized “Group”.
Filling out, signing and emailing this waiver NOW should help save time the mornings of the event.
The ECXC18 Nexterra Night will be of Friday, July 20, 2018 at Mooses LZ Bar & Grill. Sign up & Info HERE.
