Guys..
I am proud to announce that through endless
work, mods, head work, countless cash..,
And lots of other things Im sure im forgetting.
CPR in West Columbia SC put the X on the
Dyno. It wasnt full tuning day but
just three pulls to see how she does.

Prof X
2001 Xterra 3.3 NA 4WD

Horsepower...364
Torque ....589

Im sorry for my houdini act recently.
I had the pleasure of working with
a couple of Nissan engineers and
took advantage of their time and
made some great gains. I wish when
I purchased originally to see what
mine was for baseline purposes.

Recent mods are balance and blueprint engine
Nismo Fuel Pressure Regulator
Nismo Fuel Injectors
Nismo spark plugs..(only for dyno purposes)
Custom fab Superlightweight Flywheel
Custom Performance Racing Cams
(Custom job from Stillen, not offered
but got lucky)
And handful of other mods yet to disclose.
Running True Straight pipes no codes and
no Eliminators installed. (Have them..just
didn't install, measure scope and noneffecting).
Shorty headers
most of everything else I have put on another thread
somewhere.
today will have all pics uploaded.

Pretty amazing numbers for an NA. Is this wheel HP, or adjusted for the crank.

So 273/441 at the wheels N/A?
That's pretty damn impressive outta this motor.
(would LOVE 441 ft/lbs of torque)

What are you using for engine tuning?

wow i didnt think these engines would be capable of that...now im intrigued
they are capable of a lot. The bottom end is girdled from the factory and everything internal is of pretty good quality. The cams profiles and exhaust manifolds are setup for exactly what you get out of the box and not much more. That's your bottle neck.

Mac 11 is correct. The Nissan
engineers. .I should have been a
little more specific...they are not
exactly Nissan but the Nismo
engineers. Obviously first off...
need to open engine up and let it
breathe... so manifolds off.
To answer your question for the tuning
I sent my guys a email. Im not entirely
sure..lol..what program they use..??
They had two laptops on it most of the
time.
On a different note..I use just the
Torx Pro app for Android on samsung
S4. Very efficient for size and price.
I can handle most tuning with that
and a few other tools.

but very impressive..surprised. I can get on
it at a stop light...with its current weight
at 6K lbs and gun it throttle reading 75%
And back tires will spin...and its a automatic.
Second..will get a good bark. Its honestly
too much power and too fast for its current
setup. Have drilled/slotted rotors and stillen
pads..and if I really get on it...it takes a
good minute to stop.

I was a big Subaru guy (Foresters) but I saw a dyno vid of a twin turbo WRX that was putting 808hp to the wheels.
That's out of a 2.5 liter flat four.
So I can believe there is a lot of un-tapped power in these 3.3 V6's.

I agree, wish it was designed to be that way.
however...spending over 75K on it...in a
year..gets depressing. Have fiancee that has
nearly disowned me for it.
Kinda bad to have to sneak around to work on it..
and I do.

$75k???? I have to throw a flag on that.
75 would get you into a used GT-R, and if a dyno slip is what you're into, THAT is the platform.

RULE 32 is in play.
