In the process of getting to my timing belt on 04, I dropped some bolts. The first one ended up in the right headlight well(don't ask) and the second one fell in the engine area behind the back cover of the timing belt. The first one I should be able to get to, but the second one may prove more tricky. I inserted a bendable magnetic pickup tool in the plenum area to get the second bolt. While maneuvering the tool, the head of the cheap tool broke off and followed the bolt into the nether region behind the timing belt cover almost directly behind the drivers side cam sprocket. Am I looking at heartache if I leave those pieces there or is it just a situation where I can replace the lost bolt and not worry about it? I am almost 100% sure that both pieces are in the same area, but will look around to make sure the bolt didn't fall into the spark plug area. The vehicle is v-6 non supercharged. Thanks for your help!

At what point did you say to yourself..

"Nahhhhh.. why get another magnetic tool and fetch those out?"

Rather than pay for an $8 bolt possibly (some get ridiculous in price) as well wait for one to come in 2-3 days later because its not a part kept on hand in many dealerships likely and thats going to be a dealer item for sure.

ANDDDDd you may be able to reach from the bottom in some cases with a similar but better quality tool lets hope for round 2...
