Here is a great engine in which I plan on purchasing brand new and putting into my 2002 Xterra. The Yanmar 4TNV84T!
I will be putting in Calmini torsion bars, upper/lower A-Arms, Sway Bars, Leafs, Shackles, then Billstein shocks, polyurethane bushings, Poly CV boots, New bearings front and rear and a 3.5 overall lift with deep dish rimms that will hold Mickey Thompsons mudders (stretched on the rimm for that beach sand).
I hit a deer recently and if the money situation improves then the build will begin as scheduled. Looking forward to putting that engine in and putting up the build thread. So in the meantime may God bless you all.

Goodluck! Can't wait to see the build thread!
I dont know squat about diesels but if the yanmar is anywhere closeto the size of a 4bt you better just sas it.
Like midget28 said.. you are going to have to SAS it. the clearance is too tight otherwise, unless you have a rear oil pickup and you a dang good fabricator. keep us all updated!

What you mean SAS it?
What you mean SAS it?
S-solid
A-axle
S-swap

It clears out pretty much everything up front, and puts in a live axle.

Does it look like this?
