Hey all,
I have been having a CEL for like 3 ish years. P4030 (bank 2 cat) and p0325 (bank 1 knock sensor). The truck has been running fine and when I clear the codes it will stay off long enough to pass emissions in Texas. But to try to tackle these issues I:
- replaced all plugs and wires
- replaced the distributor cap
- replaced both upstream oxygen sensors
- seafoamed
- relocated the knock sensor to the top of the manifold
But the CEL with both codes keeps coming up - which I believe are related? I think the inevitable of replacing the cat(s) is in order now. Am I right to assume that "bank 2" is on the driver's side of the car? If so - I'm thinking about going with a name-brand aftermarket cat, like Magnaflow. I have a buddy that is able to get me Magnaflow ones specifically for pretty cheap.
Just seeing what yall think or what other things I should be looking at before going with the cats.
