2000 Xterra XE 180,000 miles 6-Cyl manual-tran

Whenever my son turns on the fan motor, it is fine as along as he leaves the fan speed on 1-2-3. But when he turns it to 4, it blows the 2-fuses. We replaced the blower motor and blower resistor, but that didn't make a difference.

1) Why are there two fuses?

2) Any idea what we can do, so it won't blow the fuses?

You have a short in the wiring some were . Unplug the blow and see what happens when you turn it on high ??
