CURRENT PIC

Well I figured why not start a build thread since everyone else has and I don't want to do anything without having it here so I am starting off small. I bought my ride 3 days ago so this build will be a slow process.

Decided I needed to remove the Step Rails so...
Before:

After:

Now after reading on the forum I decided to take off the rear sway bar. ( I actually removed it about 2 hrs ago lol)
Here are some pics:

Then the first thing I wanted to do was take it off road for the first time. Nothing major but here we go and I got a few flex shots.

Nice, now you have some extra funds lol i removed mine and had them sold on CL in less than 24hrs for $120! What are you planning next?
Looks good! Really clean. Plastics don't look too faded either.

What state are you in? Reason I ask is because NY doesn't allow tint on the front side windows, I tried it when I was younger. I like how it looks though.

I am in TN and they really don't care. I like the way it looks too. Makes it look even.

The law says 35%, but TN is pretty lax on the issue. I know a few members of the PD who have 3% on their rides.

Looks good.
What part of TN? We have a good group of Xterra owners here Im in Murfreesboro

Crazy how taking the steps off make it look taller

Don't feel bad. I'm sure most of the members on this forum or any other, their rigs were a work-in-progress. No one had their X's modified overnight.

The first thing I picked up was a Safari basket. Then I picked up Smittybilt Molle seat covers. Next was a tow-hitch. But now that I've seen the Schrockworks rear bumper, I'm liking that even more. I also picked up a full-size spare rim. I'll add the tire after I have some disposable income. Business has been slow.

The next thing I have planned is a PML. I need to pick up the shackles first. Plus, if I need to have an alignment done after I index the front end, I'll need funds for that too. LOL
I'm not familiar with every member here to know how many are the Original owners of their FirstGenX. So these guys/gals could have been modifying their rigs for the past 10yrs.

For myself, I'm the 3rd owner and just bought it back in June. I just let go of a '93 Pathfinder. The rear frame rails started to look like swiss cheese. To avoid anything like that again, I plan on using some POR15 to protect the frame rails and other parts of the undercarriage from rotting away. I plan on having this vehicle for a very long time.

Good luck with "Big Bird". Just make sure you keep up on engine maintenance, fluid/lubricant changes and do the required maintenance on the timing belt and water pump.

I am in Chattanooga so not extremely far from there.

I actually just had the timing belt, water pump, etc. all replaced and the fluids as well so it is running strong at the moment. I plan to do another oil change soon though just to be comfortable with it being new and all.

We have Mod days if you ever need some help.. Look up seXTERRA on Facebook.. We post up trail runs and such too
Clean looking Xterra, looks good so far. :)
Is it this forum or NeXterra.org makes a trip to the Nissan plant in TN?

Random thought is random......but you are thinking, I believe, of the nXm run that toured the plant.
Here's an nXm event already planned for Sept 2012, but it's not in TN.

Too bad because that would be an awesome trip to go on.
My mistake. I was unaware that Coal Creek / Windrock Mountain was in TN.
