I basically lost transmission fluid due to a hose disconnect, now the engine has disengaged itself from the transmission.

Do I need to Give it more Fluid, or reset anything?
I doubt anything mechanically is wrong.

I have a 2001 3.3 V6 RWD.

What do you mean disconnected itself?

I had a hose come off and empty my tranny. I just filled it up and switched gears for a while in the drive btw it took 9 quarts to fill and its D-matic

I know sometimes CVT's will shut down because of fluid levels, or heat etc... The transmission oil cooler I had installed lost it's mount and dragged on the ground for a little bit before i noticed.. by then there's alot of fluid gone.

You're saying i need to fill it back up with fluid?
