I changed my alternator and now I have belts squealing, replaced belts 8 months ago, belts are tight.

They can also be too tight.

Or the tensioner(s) could be squeaking.

Or a pulley is not aligned correctly.

Squirt water on the grooved side of the belt. (Not the flat side.) If the sound goes away, then you probably have a misaligned pulley.

If the sound gets louder, then your belt is too loose.
